Properties are a core part of Stakeholder engagement. Whether you are managing a lease agreement, a construction project, or simply a location that matters to your work, having readily accessible records for each property saves time and avoids duplicated effort. This article covers the three ways to create a Property: from the Create menu, from the Map View by pin-drop, and in bulk via CSV import.
Before you start: what you will need
To create a Property, the following fields are mandatory:
Property Name (for example, "Golden Fleece Farm" or "15 Smith Street")
Country and State
Either a street address or latitude and longitude (not both required, but at least one is needed to appear on the Map View)
Everything else (linked Stakeholder, Tags, Notes, Files, custom fields) is optional and can be added later.
Tip: |
Method 1: Create a Property from the Create menu
Click the green Create button at the top of the screen.
Select Property from the menu.
Fill in the Property details. Enter either the street address or Latitude and Longitude. You can also add a linked Stakeholder here and set their Relationship to the property (Owner, Property Manager, Tenant, Lessee, Lawyer, and so on).
Click Save and Continue to finalise and open the Property record.
On the saved record, use the Summary and Details tabs to add Tags, additional Stakeholders, Notes, Files, or custom field values.
Method 2: Add a Property from the Map View (pin-drop)
If you know where the property is on a map but not its exact address, you can drop a pin to create the record.
Open the Properties tab and switch to Map View using the map icon in the top right corner.
Navigate and zoom to the location.
Click on the map where you want the Property. The platform will capture latitude and longitude from the click location.
Complete the remaining fields (Name, Country, State, and any optional details), then Save and Continue.
Method 3: Bulk import Properties from CSV
For large lists, use CSV import. Go to Admin Settings > Import Data and select the Properties template.

View your Property
Once saved, your Property appears in list form on the Properties tab or on the Map View if it has coordinates. Switch between views using the icons in the top right corner.
